Access Ramp is on the west side of the Chain of Lakes Yacht Club on the South end of Hall Lake.
It is Icy but fairly flat to get on the lake.

They had limited snow to this point, so the ice is looking good.

Good visit today with the Race Promoters from Fairmont.
This community is excited for NSSR to come to town!

The race track will be on the south end of Hall Lake at the Chain of Lakes Yacht Club access/ramp.
Tracks will head North to North East, so a Southwest breeze would be good that day.

Awards will be planned to be held at the Yacht Club Building at 5:30PM

Tami's will be providing food and beverages at the Yacht Club Building.

Remember, there is a Pro Competition Track, of which all who want to run can come in and compete, just check with Tech before you sign up if you are new and get the details on your sled.

Also, there is a radar run track with professional photocell timers where you can race in nearly 40 classes for trophies 1,2,and 3rd just like any local race.
This track is also shaved out to 2500 feet or more with timers at 1000 feet.
on this, you can run stock, improved stock, vintage stock and modified, along with ATV's, Motorcycles, and kids classes.
Come one and all and see what your trail sled will do! or if it is set up for racing, come and compete.
We also have a non traction class for you non-studded trail riders.
Tethers are a must.

The Crew is heading out today for plowing and shaving, but mostly shaving, not a lot of snow out there.

Weather looks like a moderate warm up for the weekend which will be good.

However, bring those ice cleats for the boots as the ice is slippery.
Also, grab the carbides as it looks like there will be a strong quarterin cross wind to deal with at this time.

Track will head North by North East along the East Shoreline, so it will be a wind from across the Lake.
Be nice if it would blow in from the South West instead, so who has more influence then me can get this done?

WE already looked at moving the track to the Center of the Lake and going South, but I am concerned about safety of going through a lot of fish houses in that area.
Just too risky with traffic on a Saturday.

We will see what the actual weather is on Saturday, but this looks good to go if we add the carbides for steering.
At the same time, I would not anticipate this to be a big record setting day, but a good day for competition.

As of today, we have recieved the revised Martin County Sheriff's Department Permit (Thanks to Brian Ruschy), a new Insurance Certificate, and today a New Minnesota DNR Permit!
All in record time:
I would like to Thank the Frazier Insurance Agency for their quick response, the Martin County Sheriff for great cooperation, and the Minnesota DNR out of New Ulm and the Ladies in Enforcment for getting us the new permit done in record time!
