Folks,
We are honing in on the kickoff race in Forest Lake.
Looking good, so let's keep these cooler temps. Yeah, we are spoiled when 10 above seems cold:)
Remember to get your numbers on the sled on the Pro Side, along with Class ie S600S, IS600, PS1000 etc.
This is especially needed if you are running multiple sleds that look alike on the Pro Track, getting concern over slipping in a higher horsepower sled into a lower class run card. I don't have anybody in mind, but have heard the concerns.
Weight for each class should be on the sled for the scale person
Also, get your fuel tested before you race, and including the stock sleds running pump gas.
Pump gas is nothing but additives now for octane and Ethanol percentages are up this time of year - the limit is 10% and we see some produces sneaking toward the 15% Corn ratio!
You can add some Non-Oxygenated fuel to the ethanol Premium to cut it back
Old race fuel can test bad, and Certain oils can have additives that will bump the meter.
High ratios like the 32:1 especially will enhance this if anything is in the oil.
Some bring a new 5 gallon can and mix the whole thing before the race, this can be a huge mistake putting all your eggs in the only fuel you have.
I like to mix 1 to 2 gallons of a fresh can to get tested, then you still have options with 3 to 4 gallons in the can that is not mixed.
Thanks for your cooperation on this.
Ron
Weight should be on the upper right side of the hood. Tech has the fuel parameters, they will discuss them with you, but really not for public display.
