Folks,
Just a great day in Fairmont on Super Bowl Sunday and Ground Hog Day!
The Jimmy Brown Crew must have brought their NASA Magnet, as the Stars aligned for a great day of racing.
Take 2 went well and we had an unbelievable Crowd on the ice.
Lot of old NSSR sleds showed up to race from this area, including a few vintage yamahas!
A good safe day on the ice with no incidents reported.
Topping the good number of records that were broken at Fairmont, was Mike Cleary and Crew taking the new Pro Stock 1000 record at 151.048!
This has been a long time coming to break the 150 mark that all said could be done.
I would say this is going in the books now as the fastest full body single engine sled, sit up and ride, that has run naturally aspirated!
Top Speed of the day went to Mike Martin of Illinois on his OSP Yamaha at 168.421 mph, Congratulations!
I know quite a few racers could not make it due to schedule conflicts, and we appreciate those who came last Saturday to race!
It was a Sunny Day with a Quartering Tail wind at 6 to 10 mph! Temp was about -12F in the morning and warming to a 12 above in the afternoon.
Track was pointed Northeasterly and was in great shape after shaving for the second time.
A big Thanks to Brad and Vonnie Cone, Brian Ruschy, Blizzard Snowmobile Club, Holiday Inn, Doug's Sports, Graham Tire, etc. for their hard work and support.
I will say these folks are good people and just a hard working group!
ThanKs!
Ron and Stacy and the NSSR Crew!
