Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am getting a lot of questions on the Trail Stock Classes and the Super Stock Twin Class.
Pro Max (now known as Outlaw at ISR) and Exhibition Classes will continue to run.
These all can compete for World Records and Series points.
Top Speed Money has been put to the TopGun Challenge class for this year.
We are looking for sponsors who want to support money to other classes, so contact me if you have ideas on this.
Tunnel Enclosure issue is at hand now with some recent incidences. see other post on this. Certain Tunnel configurations make this difficult to meet the full intent of the rule, but we need to see some effort to limit the driver being pulled into the tunnel and track area on modified sleds. This does not apply to Stock or Trail Stock sleds. we are open to having a rear panel design that allows air flow out the end of the tunnel, but again limits the racer being pulled into the tunnel. Call me if your chassis present any challenges to meet this.
NSSR is going to let these continue this year and monitor entries.
Last chance to make these stick, so if you do have sleds you want to run in these get them out. I will base it on real entries, and not hearsay.
With the advent of the Ski Doo 850 and aftermarket updates for big bore kits using stock cylinders, time to really have some good competition here in Super Stock Twin.
I am mainly pushing the Improved Stock 800 Twin class however at 660 pounds with driver.
Seems this is the cheapest way to get these new sleds into competition and not have to run with the triples.
Trail Stock:
This is intended to be for Amatuers/beginners only, and not for the Pros. it is a starting point for those who want to get their feet wet on the Pro Side so to speak. Anyone showing up to run that has run pro will be put in the Stock Class. Tuning by Pro Racers is prohibited, Meg used to DQ those in competition if caught tuning a TRail Stock Sled:)
Stock ride height sleds (within 2 inches) and no lowering
Stock track configuration, no 1/2 inch lug speed tracks
Studs with a max of 50% ice picks, the rest to be carbide trail studs
Have some fun!
No Slide Lubers
Let me know if you have questions. Thanks!
