Ladies and Gentlemen,
Took some time to finalize our ISR Affiliation Status and Insurance Program to keep costs under control, and hence maintain the World Record Legitimacy of NSSR.
Overall I would say I am pleased with the program for Speed Run Competition. Other Affiliates have much higher requirements, but ISR recognizes the one sled run provides a safer format for competition.
The Crew members and kids under 12, along with the whole Radar Run side are not required to have an ISR License for 2018.
NSSR will still see an increase in our Race Coverage Costs, and we are keeping our costs the same as 2017 overall.
Keep in mind that NSSR memberships after December 31st will be at the $150 as per the change in 2016 for 2017 season.
Change is now that if you are a Pro Driver 12 years of age or older, you will need to have an ISR Annual or Daily License.
This can be purchased before the first race in January and you will need to have your number to compete!
We will not be handling this at the Race Registration.
NSSR Memberships will not change, see ISR requirement on each:
1. Adult 16 and up: Early registration is $100, then $150 after the 1st of January for NSSR – ISR License Required if Driver ( http://www.isrlicense.com/ $150 Annual/$30 Daily )*
2. 12 to 15 years old: $75 Annual NSSR – ISR License required if Driver ( http://www.isrlicense.com/ $150 annual or $30 Daily)*
3. Under 12 years old: $50 Annual NSSR – No ISR Membership required.
4. Crew Membership for the Season is remaining at $25 per person, gives you easy access to each race with NO $5 fee per event.
*We will have the same membership requirement, minimum of 2 full NSSR members per team, both do not have to have an ISR license if they are not driving.
Entry Fees will be the Same on the Pro Side of the track.
Race insurance costs will remain at $10 per event per driver on both Pro and Radar Run.
The Radar Run side of the track stays the same $10 insurance per Driver with $5per run, or $40 all Day .
NO membership required for ISR or NSSR
ISR License will also be required for NSSR, you can do annual or daily. Annual gives you a good personal insurance supplement program of $25000 with a $2500 deductible, so good coverage to cover costs that your main medical insurance does not cover. The Daily ISR license is only good for a one race at a time, I do not know if it can be continually reused, and only has $3000 insurance supplement with a $500 Deductible.
Overall: NSSR has negotiated a package that allows us to keep our NSSR member rates the same and Maintain our ISR affiliation. Maintaining our ISR affiliation now requires that we use their insurance program. Using their insurance program does require that the Pro Drivers maintain an ISR License. Good News is that the Kids under 12 are exempt and Crew Members do not have to buy the annual license of $99. Also, the Radar run side of the track does not require an ISR License and the program can remain the same.
I understand this is an added cost for the Pro Driver, but overall the Driver does now have the insurance benefit not provided previously, so this is a positive.
At the same time NSSR will still experience an increase in our Race Coverage Policy, and we are holding our rates at this time.
Stacy will be getting forms added to the website for all to send in the next week.
Thanks for your understanding on this.
