Getting up and rockin!
Attended the Menomonie, Wisconsin Council Meeting on Tuesday Night of last week and NSSR was approved to hold its race on January 30th, with the 31st as a backup.
We are scheduled to be heard on Sept 28th at the City of Forest Lake for the February race. This date fits well with the City's schedule of events.
Attended Haydays Friday evening, Saturday AM, and Sunday.
We did not do a booth this year and I believe it was more effective to walk around and talk with the vendors and racers. Stacy and I talked to a lot of the NSSR racers, and met some of the old ones that want to come back.
Tom Warner and Kevin Loebrick Set up a discussison with St. Boni Motorsports and they donated 5 New BRP Helmets to NSSR as part of a sponsorship. We will either sell these off or set them up for a drawing at each of the 4 races and the banquet.
Seen Mike Schroeder and his partner in the announcers booth and provided them a brochure and schedule for NSSR and ended up doing a live interview about what we are doing and our race schedule. What a fantastic opportunity.
Met with Jodi of the Pink Ribbon Riders Coalition and discussed opportunities to assist them in fundraising. This will be a go for NSSR and Jodi and I will talk more about how this happens and our Race Events. We will be looking at donations on this from our racers and spectators.
Discussed the new Stud Products for smooth belted speed tracks with Woody's Traction products. They see Speed Running as gaining excitement and want to be a part of NSSR.
I will talk more with Larry and Rick at the AMSNOW Shootout at the end of this month.
Talked to Mark Savage and Mark Boncher at Haydays about hitting the January Issue of the American Snowmobiler Magazine with our schedule and what's happening with our members and classes. This comes out in December and they want to work with NSSR on this.
Just a lot of contacts and good progress being made.
Let me know if you have any questions or comments.
Thanks!
Ron
