NATIONAL STRAIGHTLINE SNOWMOBILE RACING – Hopefully this is the last Schedule adjustment for NSSR, Nice Winters are not so nice!
Folks, we are down to 3 races in February and it will be Fast and Furious. We still need some help on the ice, but with the upcoming cold spell and a 3 weeks of below freezing temps we might make it by mid February. Time for an Ice Dance! It is a shame, as the 2016 schedule was one of the best we had to offer and was packed with some great excitement tied to mostly Community Celebrations and other activities!

A new check on the ice at Howard Lake indicates it is at 11 inches now for the most part with about 2 inches of slush in some areas. There is about 14 inches where the vehicles are driving, so as usual, the ice is minimal at best and vehicles should be cautious. No way this race would have happened this coming weekend, so good decision by the Cokato Ridge Runners to reschedule for next year 2017.
Thanks!
Ron
