Ladies and Gentlemen,

Ice Check on Forest Lake on January 1oth leaves us with a need for some cold weather.

There is 8 to 10 inches of good black ice in the area from shoreline to about 200 yards out in the starting line and parking area. I did not get all the way to the end of the track area as I walked out.

On top of that is 3 to 4 inches of frozen water/snow that is fairly hard.

So if you drill a hole, you will find 11 to 14 inches of drillable ice. So if the temps stay below Freezing, I would say we can count the frozen snow/ice as some for the trailers and parking.

Stay tuned, I will check next Friday or Saturday on Forest Lake and make a call based on what the forecast is.

Green Bay ice is not coming fast and even less than Forest Lake, but we have time. In the meantime, I have started pulling permits for Forest Lake for February 15th just in case we need a backup location. Yes, this is just in case so stay tuned! Green Bay is still as is on the schedule!

Frustrating for all at this time, but that is what it is.

Thanks!

Ron, Stacy, and crew
