A check on the ice on Forest Lake Sunday the 24th, showed that there was about 15 to 16 inches at the landing and within 150 feet of shoreline. However it is only at 11 inches beyond the 150 foot area.
All permits have been issued for this race on the 13th, but we need some cold weather to make it happen since it is two weeks and a few days away.
Forecast is not good right now, so hopefully we get another cold snap.
Just a note, a lot of trucks out on the ice at fish houses! Those going out on the lake should be more than cautious with this kind of ice. I assume someone sees one and everyone is going, so tread lightly or stay on the shore!
