Just a reminder that some have been testing some of the rules that we have made to comply for safety and fair competition:
1. Snell 2005 and ECE 22.05 or higher rating helmets are required for all competitors that run on the Pro Track. No exceptions will be made from here on in.
2. Leather suits or a kevlar equivelant will be required for all sleds that run over 135 mph and all classes of Pro Stock and Open Mod. No exceptions to the rule.
3. We have seen competitors competing on the Pro Side in Tennis Shoes. Only leather boots which extend above the ankle are acceptable. Safety shoes as per NHRA for motorcycle competition that extend beyond the ankle are also acceptable.
4. All sleds are required to place the tip of the ski on the starting line. We are getting some that are trying to stage behind this line.
5. All competitors that are in first or second place will stay in the Tech area until cleared by Tech to leave. Bypassing the scale or not staying in Tech will result in a DQ of that run.
6. Parachutes are recommended at 150 mph and mandatory to be placed on sleds that run at or exceed 160 mph. No Exceptions to this rule.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!
Ron
