We will continue to rigorously test fuels in the Trail Stock, Stock, Improved Stock, Pro Stock, Super Stock, Open Modified, Lake Racer, Lake Racer All Motor, Kids Classes, and Related Classes. These Classes make up over 80 percent of our entries.
NSSR realizes that the big boost power adder classes need additional octane to survive.
NSSR also realizes that the regular race fuels pose as much health risk overall as the VP Import fuel based on testing. VP testing as required to meet State and Federal guidelines has indicated that the health risk is minimal or none for these fuels.
These classes include the Lake Racer Open, Pro Stock Four Stroke, Pro Max, Super Mod and Exhibition classes. For these classes we will not be testing fuel for each run, but will be confirming what is being used for fuel from each team in these classes. Only VP StreetBlaze and Import will be allowed to be used for oxygenated fuels in their original form from VP.
Neither NSSR or ISR allow the use of oxygenated fuels.
For now, NSSR will conditionally allow the use of the VP Streetblaze and VP Import in the classes we are not testing fuels. Conditionally allow means that if we find health data that does not support the VP published data, we will reconsider the use of these.
No other oxygenated fuels are allowed to be used or in possession at the race sites.
In addition, we will be pulling samples of the VP Import fuel from each of the race teams for testing at random to ensure that there are not other additives placed in it for use.
This will be done using the ISR spectrograph analysis. The breakdown will be required to match the chemical make up as given to us from VP and checked by ISR from a fresh sample.
Teams found to be supplementing additives to these fuels will be charged for the fuel testing and fined $250 for the first offense, in addition to loosing all records and points established prior in that same year!
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!
