Fairmont is a go right now.
Todays report was good news that we are now at 13 to 14 inches on the lake with a minimum of 11 inches at the access under the snow that has blown in.
The guys are going to scape the windblown snow back at the shoreline.
I like to have a minimum of 15 inches for parking trailers in any normal way on the ice and 17 is good for close parking for the most part.
Remember you are on your own risk when you come on the ice as we don't make any guarantees or take any responsibility.
Options are:
Spread out on parking on the ice
Park next to shore, where we do have a lot of beach area to pull up to next to shore and work out of the trailer.
Brian is calling in some recruits to go with four wheelers and open trailers to haul you and your equipment on the ice if you prefer, so stay tuned on this and plan to bring a canopy tent if you wish to set up on the ice.
With a few more cold nights to go, like 3 or 4, I am thinking the situation will only improve.

Track will be pointed northerly from the Yacht Club, as Brian mentioned.
There will be two shaved tracks for 3000 feet with photocell timers at the 1000 foot mark, one for the Pros and one for the Radar Run side - depending on your sled or machine, you can run one or both.
Registration for the radar run side will be $15 for 2 passes for each class plus $10 per driver for insurance.
Additional runs can be purchased for $5 each, or an all day run pass for $40 per class, plus insurance.
either way, there are trophies for 1,2,3 in every class on the radar run side of the track.
See you there, should be a great time.
Also, keep in mind that NSSR does plan to run Sunday the 18th if for some reason the race needs to be held off due to weather.
The forecast for Sun and good temp looks promising.
Thanks!
Ron
Good News on Ice, as of yesterday, the last 3 days added about 3 inches of ice, so it is in the range of 15 to 16 inches.
I would still spread out as you park with the full size trailers and trucks.
Should continue to add ice last night and tonight as the water below the ice seems to have finally cooled down to allow freezing.
Brad Cone was out plowing a parking area near the shore on Sunday to remove the snow so that could freeze better also.
See you Saturday!
Ron
Good Question on the wind reschedule. Wind is evasive item to control and anticipate.
Although a strong North West Wind with sun and warming temps doesn't add up to me.
We will monitor and it is not like temps or snow, so working with local club on this.
We will do what we can if the wind stays a factor.
Stay tuned.
Ron
You guys and your hypersonic tail winds!
I just hope we don't have head winds when we went racing, but the real tuner and drive comes out then!
Funny!
