FAIRMONT IS POSTPONED

The Fairmont race is being postponed to February 21st. Ron and the crew drilled holes and decided there was not enough ice to be safe.

Thanks to Brian Ruschy with the Blizzard Snowmobile Club and his fantastic crew helping out on this.
What a great bunch of hard working people!

We were looking to change the track direction to West to East or East to West when we found ice that was 8 to 11 inches thick.
When we gave up on the East - West movement, we then check other areas for going Northeast and then North.
Brian drilled over 75 holes and we found numerous areas that had 10 to 11 inches of ice, but in these small areas the water was coming up on the ice about 2 inches deep.
Strange, but the water then was coming up in any drift area even if we did not have a hole drilled.
With the warm temps, we knew that even if we plowed a track and took a risk with the plow and shaver, the track would not be usable with the warm temps.
Better to be safe and race another day:)

Sorry for the inconvenience!!!

Hope to see you in Fairmont on Saturday Feb 21st!!!

Ron, Stacy and Crew!!!
