Looking at new classes for the following:
Add Stock 600 Factory Racer Special Class - would be limited to the new 08 race production sleds only and other stock 600s would stay in the stock 600 classes as they are now.
Add Super Twin Class- this class would be for twins with full body stock appearing chassis and power adder(s) with a minimum weight of 750 lbs with driver. Nitrous and or Turbo allowed. Track would be limited to stock or o.540 lug speed track of open or closed window. Stock length skis required.
Add Open Lake Racer- this class would be for any full body stock appearing chassis with power adder at 750 lbs and naturally aspirated at 675 lbs. Open to belted speed tracks. Motor must begin as a snowmobile case, commercially available aftermarket case for snowmobile use, stock snowmobile cases may be added together to make a 4 cylinder, or PWC bottom end. Limited to 4 cylinders. Pro Stock Chassis allowed, but intended to be over 1000 cc's.
Need input on possible Four Stroke Class(s) Yamaha and Cat guys let me know how you think we would structure. I am thinking a stock, improved stock, and pro stock four stroke class in these areas. Improved stock could have a turbo with added minimum weight over stock. Thoughts?
Let me know what you think? Let me know if you would run if we had it.
Thanks!
Ron
We will do a 600 Racer Special Stock class. I know where 2 each 600 RS ski doos are for sale brand new. Call me at 612.360.1280 quick. They are $9500 incl freight and shipping, plus maybe a little markup to be put on top of that.
Keep comments coming on the other classes
I still support a belted track (without cleats) on the Lake Racer open class, not that hard to change suspensions. We want to see the speeds in this class and this track will handle the power better. 0.5 inch speed tracks can also run. We will monitor who participates.
Need more comments on 4 strokes!
Thanks!
Ron
Rules are basically the same as last year. Rules are needed to make this a legitimate world record series race. Please call me with more specifics. Most of these rules have been around for some time. I am looking more at track issue on certain classes, including exhibition class.
Thanks!
