Get them wagons loaded and head to the Eighth (Is that right?) Annual Spring Nationals!
Good time to blow the dogfood out of the pipes for the year if you haven't already.
3000 feet of shaved ice track with photocell timers set at the 1000 foot mark!
This is not an NSSR sanctioned event, but put on by NSRG, and you don't have to be a member to race with the Pros that shows at this event.
Of course, NSSR always offers the second speed run track for non-members to run, so you are always welcome.

Good Motels are the Country Inn 11 miles North near Walker at 218.547-1400
They have rooms available at a special rate of $79 per night for 2 queens.
There is also an Americinn just North of Pequot Lakes that is a good place to stay if you are coming in from the South!
That is about 28 miles south of Hackensack.
Another option(s) is the Chase Hotel in Walker, along with the Americinn in Walker, or the Northern Lites Casino between Hackensack and Walker.
